Terms & Conditions for Notch
These terms and conditions apply to the Notch app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Shivam (hereby referred to as "Service Provider"). Notch is free to use, has no ads and requires no account.
Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.
Intellectual Property & License
Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, design systems, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the exclusive property of the Service Provider.
User Content and Responsibility
The Application allows you to create custom habit names, schedules, emojis, milestone records, journal notes, and export shareable recap cards.
- Content Ownership: The Service Provider does not own, endorse, or verify the content or personal notes you choose to input or export.
- User Responsibility: You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and necessary permissions to create, store, and share any text, graphics, or content you input into the Application.
- No Liability for User Input: The Service Provider shall not be held liable for any copyright infringement, offensiveness, or legal issues arising from the user's choice of content or shared recap cards.
Habit Tracking, Widgets & Local Processing
The Application incorporates offline data persistence, local notification scheduling, Live Activities, Lock Screen widgets, and graphical recap generators.
- Provided "AS IS": While the Service Provider strives for the highest quality and reliability, the Application is provided for use "AS IS" without warranties of any kind regarding uninterrupted habit tracking, exact widget update timing (which is managed by Apple iOS or Google Android background budgets), or absolute data preservation.
- Hardware Resources: Local habit processing and animations run on-device and utilize your device's hardware resources (CPU, GPU, battery, and storage).
Third-Party Services
The Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions. Below are the links to the Terms and Conditions of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Limitations of Liability
The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. However, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible for:
- Lack of function or missed notifications due to device hardware limitations, battery optimization settings, Do Not Disturb / Focus modes, or battery exhaustion.
- Operating system constraints affecting widget refresh intervals or background process termination.
- Data charges incurred while downloading app updates, or synchronizing remote parameters over cellular or mobile networks.
- Any loss or damage resulting from the use or inability to use the Application, including the loss of habit streak records resulting from device corruption, manual app deletion, or operating system resets.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may update the Application from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or maintain platform compatibility. You may need to download updates to continue using the Application. The Service Provider may also cease providing the Application at any time without prior notice. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you will end, and you must cease using the Application.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update these Terms and Conditions. You are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. Continued use of the Application after updates are posted constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
